Baby Teague had his first non-boob food today! Pureed organic pears. He was a little skeptical at first, but after a couple bites, he was all over it!

Christmas, 3 ways
We had the pleasure of enjoying three christmas' this year!
First up, the Yerex family christmas.
Q-Rad and Uncle Tyson.
The immediate Yerex clan, clockwise from top-left: Cherylann, Tyson, Quinn, Ken, Julie, Keith & Teague, Sue.
Christmas eve and morning at mom and Larry's.
The boys opening their stockings:
Pictures of christmas #3 at dad's house to come. To tide you over until then, have a look at the most hilarious picture ever, of my mom and Larry opening their gift (a family portrait):
Ahh.....the looks on their faces. Tee hee.

Growing up!
Or from side-to-side?
Our littlest baby had his 4-month yesterday. He is now 16.5 lbs and 25 inches long! Wowzers! The doctor was impressed with his strength, and he was completely angelic and quite the charmer.
Not much else new here. We had our first snow last week, but it only lasted a few days. We're all just really busy, and keep waiting for things to mellow out a bit. Soon enough, I hope! :)

Slings
In response to the question about my slings (because the links wouldn't work in the comments box), I got my water sling here, and a friend of mine made the ring sling and sells them here. Here's another beautiful ring sling I've had my eye on for a while.... Can you ever have too many baby carriers? I think not!

A Weekend in Jasper
We decided to take trip to Jasper last weekend. It was nice to get away, but the trip wasn't nearly long enough. (Especially when you factor in all the driving, packing/ unpacking, etc.) We got to bring Bambi, which was great! Here are some photos from the weekend.
(For those who don't know, we adopted Bambi last year. She was a stray who presumably sustained an injury, and is now blind in her right eye.)(The sheep crossed the road unharmed.)
(If you look closely, or enlarge the photo, you'll see a guy all by himself portaging a canoe!)

Bye bye, summer!
Well, with temperature dropping, it looks like our summer has come to an end. Sigh...
To celebrate (or should I say mourn?), we had a firepit at Grandma Laurie and Larry's on Sunday.
Crazy Keith went and shaved his head, and chubby Teague got bathed by Grandma. It was quite a day!
On Saturday, we went to visit a store that just opened. My lovely friend, Tammy-Ann is managing the store, and selling her beautiful slings there! I treated myself to a gorgeous necklace made with fair-trade gemstones. The store is called Birth Source (online store linked above); if you're in the area, stop by and support some local moms!
I've been slowly giving Quinn some of my old stuffed animals and dolls. His favorite is an old Brownie. How cute is he wearing her in the sling?!
And here are some pictures of our littlest cutie-pie.
We got our new counter-tops installed yesterday, but I'll resist the urge to post photos until the whole shebang is finished.
I have about a million pictures from our Guitar Hero party last night to go through, so I'll post about that later.
Happy Fall!

Big Baby!
Teague went for his 2 month check-up this morning, and tipped the scales at nearly 14 lbs! He's almost doubled his birth weight in 2 months! Yikes! That puts him at the 90th percentile for weight, 75th for height (measuring at 23 inches), and between 25-50th for head circumference. Wowzers!

Fort Edmonton Park fun!
We spent last Monday, Labour Day, at Fort Edmonton Park, with some friends. It was a beautiful day, and everyone enjoyed themselves!
The boys: (from left to right) Tom, Taro, and Quinn.
The boys went on this fun swing at the midway, that was powered by a guy turning a crank!
Here's the whole gang (minus Keith, the photographer):
From l to r: me (with Teague in the wrap), Taro, Audrey, baby Kiyoshi, Quinn, Dave, Mike, Tom, and Karen (who's 7 months preggo with twins!).
